May 31, 2009, Yi Pai - Century Thinking opened at the Today Art Museum. As a theory against representation, Yi Pai was discussed as soon as professor Gao Minglu published the book. Meanwhile, Gao Minglu had organized more than one exhibition to make clear the idea of Yi Pai. Yi Pai - Century Thinking included seventy-eight different types of artists so that Chinese and foreign audience got a “grand visual feast”. This exhibition sent us a unique academic perspective, to understand Western art theory. At the exhibition site, Mr. Gao Minglu had a dialogue with many journalists.
